( dpa ) - At least 16 police were injured when a border checkpost in north-western China was attacked by "troublemakers" Monday, officials said.
Attackers threw two grenades at the border police station in Kashgar in the Xinjiang region, the state-run news agency Xinhua said.
The attackers forced their way into the police compound with two vehicles and threw the grenades, Xinhua said.
No further information was immediately available .
