Ten Rebels Join Afghan Government
Afghanistan, Kabul, 18 October / Trend , corr. A.Hakimi/Ten armed rebels joined the Afghan Government in the Anderab district of Baglan province.
Before, the ten rebels supported Mulla Dad Khan, one of the leaders of Taliban movement, Sayid Khalil, police chief in Baglan province, said.
Rebels joined the Government as a result of the mediation of local high-ranking officials.
"We had been trying to persuade commander to join the Government for a long time. In the case of refusal we would arrest him," Sayid Khalil said.
