An Indonesian boy and an Indonesian woman have been confirmed to have died of flu A/H1N1, bringing the total fatality related to the disease to 10 in the country, Health Ministry said here Thursday.

An Indonesian boy and an Indonesian woman have been confirmed to have died of flu A/H1N1, bringing the total fatality related to the disease to 10 in the country, Health Ministry said here Thursday, Xinhua reported.

Director General of Disease Control and Environmental Health of the ministry Dr. Tjandra Yoga Aditama said the boy was from Jakarta and the woman from Yogyakarta and both of them died last week.  "They have suffered from pneumonia and the laboratory tests showed that they were positive for A/H1N1," he told Xinhua.

The ministry has recorded 14 new cases, putting the total number of people infected by the disease to 1,097, Yoga said.

The director said the virus, which has a fatality rate of 0.4 percent, had spread to more than a half of Indonesia's territory.
