Bayern Munich have signed a three-year sponsorship contract with Chinese energy sector company
Yingli Solar, Germany's top football club said on Saturday, dpa reported.
Munich said the contract runs until June 30, 2014, but did not give any financial details. Yingli Solar will be a so-called premium partner of the Bundesliga champions.
"Bayern Munich is the first club with a premium partner from China. That makes us proud," Munich chairman
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told a news conference ahead of Saturday's league match with Kaiserslautern.
Rummenigge said the co-operation is to include joint solar energy projects in Munich's stadium and a possible match of the Munich team in China.
