Davutoglu speaks by phone with Clinton

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu had a phone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to discuss regional developments, diplomats said on Thursday.

Top diplomats of Turkish and U.S. governments exchanged views on the political crisis in Egypt and Tunisia. They also discussed Iraq, diplomats said.

Turkey closely monitors developments in Egypt amid reports that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is about to step down, Turkish diplomatic sources said.
