An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 jolted Sumatra island of Indonesia on Tuesday, no potential of tsunami was immediately reported, the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency reported here.
The quake struck at 14:36 p.m. Jakarta time (0736 GMT) with epicenter at 547 km southwest of Bintuhan town of Bengkulu province and with the depth at 10 km under sea bed, an official of the agency told Xinhua.
