Russia interested in engaging more states in Syrian settlement
Russia is interested in the engagement of as many countries as possible in Syrian crisis settlement, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Sunday, Sputnik reported.
"We are ready to talk to everyone, moreover, we are interested in involving as many countries as possible in this process," Putin told journalists.
Commenting on the recent cancellation of his visit to France, Putin stressed that Syrian problem was not on top of the agenda of the visit, noting that France was not that deeply involved in the Syrian crisis settlement.
Putin was expected to attend the opening of the Russian cultural and spiritual center and the exhibition during his October 19 visit to France that was canceled by the Russian side after some of the scheduled events were "dropped out of the program" by the French side.
