Russia, China in natural gas pipeline deal

(UPI) - Russia and China will build two natural gas pipelines from Siberia, one to China`s Xinjiang Uygur region and the other to Heilongjiang province.

OAO Gazprom, Russia`s state-owned natural gas monopoly, will build the lines, which together will have a capacity of 68 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year, China Daily reported Friday.

One line will begin operating in 2010, the other in 2015, reports Trend.
