The State channel of Germany 'ARD' has reported that due to a request by the parliamentary commission, the Prosecutor offices of some cities, including Berlin, Munich and Hamburg, are holding investigations on how the secret documents were leaked to the press. Representatives of the Berlin Prosecutor office has stated that five of the city's newspapers, including Die Welt and Tagesspiegel have been brought to trial. ARD has reported that the Der Spiegel and Die Zeit newspapers were also involved in the investigation.
