Turkey's former minister of EU affairs Egemen Bagis can be appointed the chief advisor to the country's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey's presidential spokesman İbrahim Kalin said.
He said that Bagis hasn't been appointed to this post for the present, but it is not ruled out that this can happen soon, TRT Haber news channel reported June 30.
Egemen Bagis served as Turkey's minister for EU affairs till Dec.25, 2013.
He formerly served as the president of the Federation of Turkish American Associations. Bagis also was a member of the Advisory Board on Turkish Citizens Abroad, a government body.
