The volume of air cargo In Turkey decreased by 16 percent in January-July 2019 compared to the same period of 2018, and amounted to 1.811 million tons, Trend reports referring to Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
In January-July 2019, 453,343 tons of cargo were transported by domestic flights, and 1,358,649 tons by international ones.
In the reported period, domestic freight traffic decreased by 12.1 percent compared to the same period of 2018. In the meantime, and freight traffic by international flights decreased by 17.3 percent compared to the same period of 2018.
The freight traffic at the three main airports of Turkey (Sabiha Gokcen , Esenboga and Antalya) was 494,800 tons in January-July 2019.
