Volume of China’s cargo transshipment via Turkish ports announced

In November 2019, the volume of China’s cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to 4.24 million tons, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

At this time, the volume of China’s cargo transshipment by vessels floating flying the Chinese flag amounted to 28,102 tons, and 4.21 million tons flying the flag of other countries.

The volume of Chinese cargo transshipment by vessels floating flying the Turkish flag amounted to 6,911 tons.

Herein, 2.5 million tons of cargos were transported from China through the Turkish ports, the ministry said.

Some 4,379 vessels arrived to the Turkish ports, gross tonnage of which amounted to 68 million tons.

Meanwhile, 1,577 vessels arrived to the Turkish ports flying the Turkish flag, and 2,802 flying under the flag of other countries.

The gross tonnage of vessels arrived to the Turkish ports flying the Turkish flag amounted to 11 million tons, and flying the flag of other countries to 57 million tons.

From January through November 2019, the Turkish ports received 50,987 vessels, gross tonnage of which amounted to 728.7 million tons.

In this period, 19,568 vessels arrived to the Turkish ports flying the Turkish flag, and 31,419 vessels flying the flag of other countries.

In the first 11 months of 2019, the gross tonnage of the vessels arrived to the Turkish ports flying the Turkish flag, amounted to 111.8 million tons, and the vessels flying the flag of other countries to 616.8 million tons, the ministry said.
