Volumes of fuel oil transshipment via Turkish ports in 1Q2020 revealed

A total of 769,131 tons of fuel oil were transported via Turkish ports from January through March 2020, Trend reports with reference to the Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Ministry on April 30.

During the reporting period, volumes of fuel oil transshipped through Turkish ports by the vessels flying the Turkish flag made up 6,401 tons, and 762,730 tons were transshipped by vessels flying flags of other countries.

Meanwhile, 97,820 tons of fuel oil were transited via Turkish ports.

During the reporting period, the volume of cargo carried by ships via Turkish ports amounted to over 94.6 million tons.

The volume of cargo handled by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 7.4 million tons from January through March 2020, the ministry said.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 3.9 million tons, while the cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 83.1 million tons from January through March 2020.

Over the reporting period, 18.4 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports of Turkey.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports amounted to 32.1 million tons in March 2020.

The volume of cargo handled by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to over 2.8 million tons in March 2020.

In the reporting month, the volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 1.3 million tons, while cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 27.9 million tons.

According to the ministry, 5.9 million tons of cargo were transported in transit through the ports of Turkey in March 2020.
