Some 792,298 tons of cargo from South Korea were transshipped through the Turkish ports from January through March 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on May 18.
At the same time, 31,236 tons of cargo from South Korea were transported by ships flying under the Turkish flag, 737,920 tons - by ships flying under the flags of other countries.
During the reporting period, ships flying under the flag of South Korea transported 73,196 tons of cargo.
Some 43,942 tons of cargo from South Korea were transited through the Turkish ports from January through March 2021.
Some 94.6 million tons of cargo were transshipped through the Turkish ports from January through March 2021.
Some 7.4 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the Turkish flag while 87.2 million tons by ships flying under the flags of other countries.
Moreover, 18.4 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports during the reporting period.
Some 32.1 million tons of cargo were transshipped through the Turkish ports in March 2021.
“Some 2.9 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying under the Turkish flag while 29.3 million tons flying under the flags of other countries in March 2021,” the ministry said.
According to the ministry, 5.9 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports in March 2021.
