Some 271 companies with Iranian capital were registered in Turkey from January through April 2021, which is by 16 less than in the same period of last year, the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) told Trend on June 8.
The total capital of Iranian companies registered in Turkey from January through April 2021 amounted to 52.2 million Turkish lira ($6.07 million), while in the same period in 2020 this figure reached 39.7 million lira ($4.6 million).
Most Iranian companies - 247 were registered in Istanbul during the reporting period. Their total capital amounted to 44.4 million lira ($5.2 million).
One agricultural company, 22 industrial companies, nine construction companies, 110 wholesale and retail trade companies, 12 tourism companies, 34 real estate companies were registered in Turkey from January through April 2021.
"The rest companies with Iranian capital are involved in other sectors of the economy," TOBB said.
In accordance with the data, the total capital of 110 wholesale and retail trade companies registered during the reporting period amounted to 18.01 million lira ($2.09 million).
