Some 2.09 million tons of cargo were transshipped through the Turkish Yalova port from January through September 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
Moreover, 1.6 million tons of cargo were transported by the ships flying the Turkish flag through Yalova port while 462,427 tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries.
"The goods were not transited through Yalova port from January through September 2021," the ministry said.
Some 286.4 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports from January through September 2021.
During the reporting period, 22.2 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the Turkish flag.
Some 263.8 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of other countries.
Moreover, over 57 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports during the reporting period.
Some 32.9 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports in September 2021.
Moreover, 2.4 million tons of cargo were transported through the ports by ships flying the Turkish flag while 30.5 million tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries.
Some 6.9 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports in September 2021, the ministry said.
