Turkey reveals volume of transshipment of goods by Turkish port of Ambarli

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 8. Turkish port of Ambarli handled 3.1 million tons of cargo from January through February 2022, Trend reports via Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

A total of 437,219 tons of cargo were transported by ships under the flag of Turkey through the port of Ambarli and 2.7 million tons by ships under the flags of other countries.

Ambarli handled 1.8 million tons of transit cargo from January through February 2022.

Overall, the ports of Turkey handled 31.1 million tons of cargo in February 2022. Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey through local ports amounted to 2.2 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 28.8 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 6.2 million tons of transit cargo in February 2022, and 64.4 million tons of cargo from January through February 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 4.6 million tons during January through February 2022. Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 59.8 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 13.9 million tons of transit cargo from January through February 2022.
