Turkish port of Ambarli reveals volume of goods transshipment in 4M2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. The Turkish port of Ambarli handled 6.3 million tons of cargo from January through April 2022, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

According to the ministry, 957,684 tons of cargo was transported by ships under the flag of Turkey through the port of Ambarli, and 5.4 million tons by ships under the flags of other countries.

"The Turkish port of Ambarli handled 3.4 million tons of transit cargo from January through April 2022," the ministry said.

The ports of Turkey handled 32.06 million tons of cargo in April 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey through local ports amounted to 2.09 million tons during the specified period. Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 29.9 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 7.1 million tons of transit cargo in April 2022.

Turkish ports handled a total of 130.8 million tons of cargo from January through April 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 6.05 million tons during this period. Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 121.8 million tons. Turkish ports handled 27.7 million tons of transit cargo from January through April 2022.

The ports of Turkey handled 386.3 million tons of cargo in 2021.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 29.9 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships flying the flags of other countries amounted to 356.3 million tons in 2021.

Turkish ports handled 78 million tons of transit cargo last year.
