Newly-elected Turkish MHP deputy dies in accident
( Cihan ) - Mehmet Cihat Ozonder, who was elected lawmaker of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) in Sunday 's general elections, was killed in a traffic accident in the Turkish capital of Ankara on Thursday.
The accident happened on Thursday morning after Ozonder lost control of his car, which crashed into a minibus. Three other people were injured.
Ozonder, who was born in Ankara in 1947, graduated from the Department of Sociology of Hacettepe University.
In the parliamentary elections on Sunday, three parties out of the 14 parties participated passed the 10-percent threshold to enter parliament with the ruling Justice and Development Party ( AKP) gaining 46.5 percent of votes, the CHP collecting 20.9 percent and the MHP 14.3 percent respectively.
