The chairman of the Azerbaijan’s Democratic Party (DPA) Rasul Guliyev will come back to Azerbaijan in the period from 31 October to 3 November 2005, the decision on which has been taken on 25 October at the meeting of the national committee on Rasul Guliyev’s rights protection, Trend reports.
Rasul Guliyev himself took part in the sitting by means of the telephone communication. The DPA leader called on his supporters to continue the struggle on his return and be more active. He also discussed some other issues related to his coming back to the country. Then he informed of the date of his return. He said he will be in Azerbaijan in the period from 31 October to 3 November by all means. According to him, negotiations, discussions with international institutions, official spokesmen of foreign organizations are being held in regard to his return. Therefore, he cannot name the exact date yet, however, he assures his supporters that it will be during the tree days mentioned.
The DPA leader reported, the date of his return to Azerbaijan by air will be announced two days before. The members of the national committee voiced their proposals on his return and the ceremony of meeting. It was decided to meet the DPA chairman at the airport and hold rallies at the Baku central squares on this day.
It should be reminded, the officials from the Interior Ministry and the Prosecutor General’s office stated not once, in case of Guliyev’s arrival in Baku he will be immediately arrested.
