Kazakh-Chinese plant to supply bitumen for important road project

The output of the Kazakh-Chinese bitumen production plant "CaspiBitum" will be used in the Nurly Jol project, Kazakh president's official website reported.

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev visited the Kazakh-Chinese plant "CaspiBitum JV" Oct. 1. He highlighted the contribution of the Chinese partners in the successful implementation of the project and expressed confidence in its further expansion.

"The president pointed out that the output of the plant will be in demand to implement the Nurly Jol road project, designed to connect the capital of Kazakhstan with other cities of the country, as well as foreign countries," said the statement.

The president said that the transportation routes from China to the Persian Gulf countries through the territory of Kazakhstan are a modern Silk Road.

In this regard, the construction of new facilities creates good prospects for the company.

The statement also said Nazarbayev talked to the representatives of the labour staff, who expressed their gratitude for the attention to the projects aimed at improving the industrial potential of the country.
