The official retail trade turnover was set at 523.6 billion tenge ($ 1 - 181.5 tenge) in Kazakhstan in September this year, Ranking.kz. analytical service experts said.
"The average monthly check in Kazakhstan per capita per year (September 2013-2014) increased from 25,300 to 30,300 tenge (from $ 130 to $ 160)," a statement says. "The most intensive retail growth is observed in Astana. The retail trade turnover of the capital increased by 42.4 percent to 53.8 billion tenge compared to September 2013."
As a result, Astana's share in the total turnover of Kazakhstan increased from 8.7 percent to 10.3 percent.
The average check per capita reached 64,400 tenge in Astana in September. Almaty with 88,500 tenge is in the lead in the sum of the average check per capita, the experts said.
