The creation of joint ventures in various areas of cooperation is necessary for the development of economic relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of Hungary Roza Nagy told Trend on Tuesday.

"Joint ventures allow to put joint products to the markets of both countries very cheap and quickly. Relations between the two countries in cultural and political spheres are very close and are developing intensively, but we have to do something in the economic field the level of trade between countries is very low. Last year, trade totaled $74.6 million, most of which fell on exports from Hungary to Azerbaijan. It is necessary to work together to identify Azerbaijani products that can be put on the Hungarian market and further into the Europe" Nagy said.

She said there are many sectors of the economy in Hungary, where Azerbaijani investors can work.

"For example, we have a lot of geothermal water resources, which must be developed, that is, medical tourism is an attractive area. I think that the work in this area will be very useful," Nagy said.

She added that it is also important to cooperate in the field of education.

"We are talking not only about the exchange of students, it is important for Azerbaijani specialists to undergo training courses in Hungary, and vice versa," Nagy said.
