The share of North Kazakhstan province in the total trade turnover with Customs Union countries amounts to 70 percent, governor of North Kazakhstan province Samat Eskendirov said on Dec.6 in Astana speaking at a briefing in the Central Communications Service under the President of Kazakhstan.

"The share of the province in the total trade turnover with the Customs Union countries amounts to 70 percent. The main export goods are products and foodstuffs - wheat and flour, which account for about 60 percent of total exports in the region, as well as metals and metal products, electro insulation and construction materials," the governor said.

The region's favorable geographical position allows the North Kazakhstan province to successfully cooperate with Omsk, Tyumen and Kurgan provinces of Russia, the governor stressed.

"The main import goods are machinery and equipment, vehicles and spare parts. The province cooperates with almost 70 countries in the world. The major export flows fall to Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Belgium. The main import partners are Russia, Ukraine and China," Eskendirov said.
