President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has received the country's Foreign Minister Erlan Idrisov in his residence in the capital, Acorda said on March 4. During the meeting the parties discussed the country's foreign policy priorities for the coming period and topical issues of the international agenda.
"The situation in Ukraine directly affects the relationship of the countries within the CIS and indirectly affects the states of the Customs Union," Nazarbayev said.
"I put forward a proposal to hold a meeting soon where there will be a thorough exchange of views and discussion of measures to prevent the development of dangerous trends in the current situation," the president said.
