Turkmenistan is working on the creation of the "e-tax" system, according to the Turkmen Economy Ministry.
The report notes that the establishment of the system was discussed at a meeting of the government. This measure is aimed at ensuring access to the electronic information database of the State Tax Service of Turkmenistan on arrears and calculations, accounting of daily operations, familiarization with alerts and appeals of the tax service.
"The taxpayers will be able to submit tax declaration electronically with the help of the new system. Its implementation will generally allow to save time of the Tax Service employees, in particular in the implementation of tax audits in the workplace on the base of documents
received electronically from taxpayers, banks and other organizations and as well as will ensure diligent performance of inspectors duties, " the report said.
It is expected that the introduction of the new system will improve the administration system, unify and synchronize delivery of reporting which is provided to the tax authorities, and increase the responsibility of taxpayers to pay taxes.
