Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov and Turkish Ambassador Mehmet Sertac Sunmezay, who is completing his diplomatic mission in the country, yesterday discussed the current state and prospects for development of Uzbek-Turkish relations, Foreign Ministry's press service said on Jan.8.
Both sides expressed the desire for their countries to increase trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as dynamic growth of mutual trade, which as of 2012 was 2.3 percent - up to $ 1.2 billion, and in January - September 2013 - more than $ 980 million .
Currently more than 500 companies with Turkish capital operate in various sectors of the Uzbek economy.
Uzbek Foreign Minister expressed gratitude to Mehmet Sunmezay for his contribution to the development of bilateral relations.
