The prince of Monaco intends to visit Tbilisi. Fifty-two-year-old Prince Albert II made the statement to a Georgian National Olympic Committee delegation, who are on a visit to Monaco.
The prince will arrive in Georgia after formalizing his marriage with 32-year-old former Olympic swimming champion Charlene Wittstock.
It is already known that he will visit Tbilisi and Bakuriani. As Prince Albert told the Georgian side, he is personally interested in seeing the changes taking place in the city.
In Bakuriani, the prince intends to personally pay respects to the family of the deceased Georgian athlete Nodar Kumaritashvili, who died during the Olympic Games in Vancouver.
Prince Albert will get acquainted with sports bases and other projects in Georgia.
He has already supported Georgia's candidacy to host the 2015 European Youth Olympic Games.
