Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov is on a visit to New York to participate in the scheduled for Tuesday UN Security Council's debate on "Protection of civilians in armed conflicts," press service of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan told Trend.
On Monday Mammadyarov met with President of the 67th session of the Security Council Vuk Jeremic.
The meeting discussed the current state of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Nations and its development prospects.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister briefed on activities aimed to end the occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia.
