Muslim Brotherhood movement refused to participate in negotiations on national truce in Egypt, Al Jazeera channel reported on Wednesday.

Earlier, Egypt's interim government has urged Muslim Brotherhood to participate in the negotiations, but the leaders of the movement said that the call for a truce comes from an illegitimate source.

At the same time, other political forces in the country and Al-Azhar university administration have stated that they would participate in the negotiations on national truce and are ready to support them.

Clashes between supporters and opponents of President Mohamed Morsi have been continuing in Egypt after the Egyptian military suspended constitution and ousted Morsi on July 3.

Egyptian Islamists do not accept these decisions and demand the return of power to the legally elected president.

On July 10 Egypt's Prosecutor General's Office issued an order to arrest the leaders of Muslim Brotherhood movement. Morsi's exact location is not reported. It is only known that he is being held by the military in one of the structures of Egypt's Interior Ministry.
