Iran's foreign policy is based on peace building experience, Iran's Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said, ILNA reported.
"The U.S. pursue the policy of provoking conflicts among countries and unleashing terror and criseses all over the world, while Iran's foreign policy is based on peace building experience," he underscored.
Vahidi made his remarks today in a meeting with military attaches accredited to the country, which was dedicated to the Sacred Defense Week.
He further stressed a significant role of military attaches in expanding cooperation among countries.
"Military attaches play a significant role in creating conditions for mutual understanding and joint settlement of disputes, as well as in reducing threats," Vahidi said.
Western countries organize PR-actions against the Iranian nuclear program, he added.
"Iran's national doctrine is based on sustainable peace and security order and there is no place for nuke in it," Vahidi underscored.
Each year, the date of Iraq's attack on Iran is marked as "Sacred Defense Week" in this country. On this occasion, military parades are held in Tehran and other cities, demonstrating military equipment.
The Iran-Iraq war began on Sept. 22, 1980 after Iraq's attack on the Iranian province of Khuzestan. The war ended on Aug. 20, 1988 with signing the act of reconciliation, which restored the prewar situation.
