Earlier today, PJAK clashed with Iran's IRGC in Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan region, Fars reported.

As a result of the armed clash, four IRGC members were killed by PJAK, four more were injured. Reportedly, PJAK members were also killed, however the details were not available.

PJAK is an offshoot of Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which regularly carries out cross-border raids along Iran's western borders with Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan region.

It is listed as a terrorist organization by many countries and international bodies.

The separatist group has been fighting to establish an autonomous state, or possibly a new world country, in the area after separating Kurdish regions from Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Syria.

Iranian intelligence and security officials have repeatedly complained that Washington provides military support and logistical aids for such anti-Iran terrorist groups.

But the U.S. repeatedly refused these accusations saying the U.S. Treasury Department included PJAK into the list of terrorist groups in February 2009 and imposed financial sanctions against it.
