A unique archaeological find - the ruins of a town and monastery complex dating from the period before the fifth century, has been found near the town of Kakheti in Kvareli region of Georgia.
The experts noted that the ruins belong to the period prior to the fifth century greater than one of the largest monuments of Christian architecture in Georgia - Bolnishi Sioni.
Excavation supported by the Agency of Cultural Heritage is carried out by the State University and the National Museum of Georgia.
