Caspian Oil Fleet - BUE Caspian Alliance has today commissioned supply ship the Caspian Provider to provide services to BP Azerbaijan.

The opening ceremony was attended by SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev.

The ship is the 16th in a row delivered to the Caspian Sea based on a contract that the Alliance signed with BP Azerbaijan.

The ship's length is 73.4 meters, width 16 meters. The power the main engines is 6300 hp.

The ship Caspian Provider will provide services to platforms located on the "Azeri -Chirag-Guneshli" oil and gas fields' block and "Shah Deniz" gas-condensate field from today.
It is envisaged that two towingsupply vessels are planned to be delivered to Baku in 2012 to provide services to BP-Azerbaijan.
