U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza and American Council Country Director for Azerbaijan Tyson Lemons invited the Azerbaijani high-school students to participate in the Future Leadership Exchange (FLEX) Program.

The FLEX program funded by the U.S. Department of State gives the Azerbaijani students a chance to spend one year at the American high-school. All expenses except those required for international passport are funded by the U.S.

The FLEX program is organized by the American Council for International Education and supported by the Azerbaijani Education Ministry and U.S. Department of State. It has operated in Azerbaijan for 20 years sharing Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani culture with American.

Bryza praised the impact of the FLEX program on the U.S -Azerbaijan relations. "During its 20 years of experience, the FLEX program had created a generation of young Azerbaijanis, who had deep first-hand knowledge of the U.S., its culture and values, and who act as a bridge between our countries.

Speaking of FLEX program alumni, Bryza said they are some of 'the most creative, driven people that I have had a fortune to interact with. As its name implied, the FLEX program is creating the future leaders of Azerbaijan.
