No signs of bird flu revealed in Lankaran
In accordance with the results of the laboratory research conducted by the Lankaran Veterinary Service, no signs of virus are observed in the region. It was said at the collegium of the Lankaran Veterinary Service dedicated to the struggle with bird flu on Friday, Trend reports.
The collegium under the chairmanship of Suleyman Mikayilov, the head of the Lankaran Executive Power, discussed issues related to the carried out work within the auction plan of the Agriculture Ministry, Health Ministry, Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry for 2005-2006. The collegium gave instructions to the Zonal Veterinary Laboratory, Veterinary Department, Epidemiology and Hygiene Center, Helath Department and other bodies to intensify preventive measures and ban on fowling and sale of bird and poultry, as well as organize enlightenment work among population, take antiepidemic measures at medical institutes.
