Azerbaijan, Russia initiate co-op in transport machine engineering

Azerbaijan’s ATEF Group of Companies and Russia’s “Sinara Group” have signed a memorandum of understanding as part of the International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM-2019 held in Yekaterinburg city, Trend reports with reference to the Russian company.

The parties identified priorities for joint development of doing business in the field of transport machine engineering, including the supplies of traction rolling stock and track equipment for laying and repairing railway tracks. The parties also confirmed their intention to jointly implement projects in the field of energy.

“As part of bilateral cooperation, a list of joint programs will be drawn up in the near future, and the parties will form a roadmap for their implementation,” said the Head of “Sinara” Mikhail Khodorovsky. “The procedure for cooperation in export deliveries, which the companies intend to implement in the markets of Russia, Azerbaijan and other countries, will also be determined.”

ATEF in Azerbaijan brings together nine factories for the production of transformers, cable and wiring electrical products, and metal structures. It also implements projects in the field of construction and rendering services for the electrification of railway lines.
