Facts of destroying natural resources in Azerbaijan's occupied city

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan revealed facts of damage to the natural resources in Azerbaijan's Shusha city, occupied by Armenia.

The fact of destruction of natural resources in the Shusha city was testified by the video materials provided by the operations center, which defines damages inflicted to the environment and natural resources on the occupied territories.

According to these facts, in Shusha trees are cut down as a fuel, and about 200 trees were cut down in the street G.Askerov, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources said on May 7.

Shusha, located in the Nagorno-Karabakh zone of Azerbaijan, was occupied by Armenian armed forces on 8 May 1992. There were occupied 248 historical monuments, 8 museums, art gallery, a mausoleum, 8 music school, a center of culture.

During the occupation of Shusha, were killed hundreds of civilians. Approximately 60 citizens were taken hostage and missing.

According to the Ministry, all the trees were destroyed in the village of Zarisli, as well as ornamental and fruit trees in the schoolyard.
