The basic principles of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution may be approved at the Azerbaijani, Armenian and Russian presidential meeting in Kazan on June 24, ITAR-TASS quoted an expert familiar with the course of the talks as saying.

"A document titled 'Basic Principles of Nagorno-Karabakh Resolution' may be signed or there may be substantial progress in the process of coordinating the text," he said.

Today, the Kremlin confirmed that the next tripartite meeting will be held in Kazan on June 24.
This will be the ninth since 2009 and second meeting in the current year.

"The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution is planned to be discussed within the next tripartite meeting," the Kremlin said.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said earlier that "the expectations from the upcoming meeting are great."

He added that "the summit is supposed to consider the so-called basic principles of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict."

He stressed that the formulating of the document was agreed upon at the meetings of the three countries' foreign ministers in Moscow in April and June.

"The Russian side is geared up for the progress and the process to be further more active," Lukashevich said.
