A meeting with leaders of Lithuanian youth organizations has been held in the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan today, a community told Trend today.
The meeting was held within "Summer Camp of Azerbaijani-Lithuanian Youth". Chairman of the coordinating council of the community Orkhan Akbarov informed the guests from Lithuania about the historical roots of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, the Armenian policy of ethnic cleansing and genocide, Azerbaijan's position on the peaceful settlement of the conflict, the international legal aspects of the conflict, etc.
Head of the analytical department of Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan Elchin Ahmadov and expert on International Organization Affairs of the Department of International Relations Aynur Farmanova attended the meeting.
The two sides also discussed the prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, different media outlets and relevant bodies.
Chairman of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Youth Juras Pozelas, Mayor of Jonava Country Mindaugas Sinkevičius, member of Council Darius Sudzhavius and correspondents of "Elta" and "Mamadzh" agencies attended the meeting.
