At least five were killed and 61 injured in a head-on bus collision between two passenger buses in Vietnamese northern Phu Tho province on Sunday afternoon, Xinhua quoted Vietnam News Agency as reporting.
A passenger bus carrying 48 students and teachers collided with another bus in the accident.
Four persons died on the scene. The wounded were taken to the nearby hospital immediately after the crash by local police and rescue workers. Another one died in the hospital.
Preliminary investigation of the local police showed that overspeeding was to blame for the crash.
