Azerbaijani athlete drowns in Georgia

An Azerbaijani athlete drowned in Pantiani Lake in Georgia's Dmanisi region July 25.
The Dmanisi Regional Administration told Trend that Mikhail Orujov, a 16-year-old Azerbaijani citizen and the junior world sambo champion, drowned after deciding to swim across the lake.
Orujov was participating in an annual meeting of Georgian and Azerbaijani athletes in Dmanisi.
After the event, Orujov and his two friends went to the lake. Orujov decided to swim across and disappeared.
Rescuers were called to the scene and discovered Orujov's body after two hours of searching.
The athlete's body will be delivered to Baku today.
