A Syrian fighter jet on Wednesday fired a missile into a border town in eastern Lebanon, the official National News Agency reported, the second such incident in one month, reported dpa.
The missile hit a house on the outskirts of the village of Arsal, causing material damage, the agency added. It was not clear if the jet had flown into Lebanese airspace.
Syrian jets last month fired two missiles at an area near Arsal, a mainly Sunni Muslim village whose residents back Syrian rebels fighting to overthrown President Bashar al-Assad.
Earlier, gunmen attacked a convoy of diesel trucks in the northern Lebanese port city of Tripoli that were heading for Syria, injuring one driver, reported the agency.
The Lebanese government has remained largely impartial toward the war in Syria. This has not prevented the violence from spilling over.
There have been deadly clashes between supporters and opponents of al-Assad in Tripoli.
Lebanese politicians fear Lebanon could be engulfed in a similar sectarian conflict if the war in Syria doesn't end soon.
Syria warned last month that its troops would fire into Lebanon if what it called "terrorist gangs" continued to infiltrate Syrian territories to fight alongside the rebels.
