The Turkish Airlines (Turk Hava Yollari) pilots who were kidnapped in Lebanon in August 2013, were taken to an unknown destination after Lebanese police discovered their whereabouts, Lebanese newspaper An-Nahar wrote on Thursday.
Previously, it was found out that the two pilots were being held in one of the houses in the Dahiya district of Beirut. According to the newspaper the change of the location of pilots will complicate their release.
The Turkish Airlines pilot and co-pilot (both Turkish citizens) were abducted by unidentified persons on their way to a hotel in Beirut.
Responsibility for the abduction was taken by the previously unknown group Zuwar Al Rida.
Lebanese authorities are also involved in the release of the Turkish pilots and have repeatedly declared they will be released soon.
