Azerbaijan, Gazakh / Trend corr.N.Fatullayeva / Traffic accidents became more frequent in the west regions of Azerbaijan.
The police chief of the Agstafa region Police Station, Rasim Aliyev stated that 120 traffic rules violations occurred in the region from January to November 2007. As a result of the accidents eight people died and two were injured.
According to Aliyev, eight traffic accidents happened due to driving in a state of intoxication, 16 - high speed, 22 - car parking and others.
Agstafa region is located 420km west of Baku.
