Azerbaijan, Baku, 3 March / Trend corr. G.Jabiyev / Opposition Vahdat party may be represented in the Consultative Assembly (CA) of pro-governmental parties, Vidadi Farajev, the Deputy Chairman of the party, stated to Trend on 3 March.
CA, established in 1998 to support the candidature of President Heydar Aliyev, unites Yeni Azerbaijan, Ana Vatan, Social Welfare, Democratic enlightenment, Republicans, Democratic World of Azerbaijan and National Statehood parties and For Azerbaijan alliance.
Farajev said that Vahdat supports the State policy. " YAP chairmanship over CA creates favorable conditions for joining the party to CA," he said.
YAP reported to Trend that the issue concerning joining of the party to CA may submitted for consideration.
