Prospects of Azerbaijan-Iran Cooperation to be Discussed in Baku

Azerbaijan, Baku, 2 May / corr. Trend S. Agayeva/ The prospects to develop cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran will be discussed between the two countries on a government level within the next few days in Baku. The talks will be held during the visit of the Iranian first deputy foreign minister Sheik Attar to Baku.

The first deputy minister of Iran Sheik Attar and the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Tehran Abbasali Hasanov have discussed in Tehran details of the forthcoming visit including the next meeting of the joint economic cooperation commission, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran said to Trend on 2 May.

Steps to hasten the realization of economic projects, which is important for both countries, is expected to be discussed during the next meeting of the joint commission. The intensification of work to develop the North-South transport corridor, in which Azerbaijan plays a big part, will have special emphasis during the Azerbaijan-Iran talks.
