Heydar Aliyev Lyceum to Open in Ceyhan

Turkey, Ceyhan, 17 May / Trend corr Y. Tahiroglu/ Lyceum named after Azerbaijan's ex-President Heydar Aliyev is planned to be opened in Turkish Ceyhan city, Huseyn Sozlu, head of the Ceyhan Municipality, said at the opening ceremony of Heydar Aliyev Museum on 14 May.

Heydar Aliyev Museum was opened in Ceyhan due to ex-President's 85th anniversary. It was established with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Ceyhan Municipality.

The Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Residing Abroad Valeh Hajiyev, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkey Zakir Hashimov, Azerbaijan's Consul General in Istanbul Sayad Aran, head of the Ceyhan Municipality Huseyn Sozlu and other officials were in attendance.

The 162 photos and books about Heydar Aliyev's life and activities presented to the museum by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation were demonstrated at the ceremony. Hajiyev spoke of the life and political activities of Heydar Aliyev, his role in development of Azerbaijani-Turkish relations, BTC pipeline.

Sozlu said that a lyceum and then a university named after Heydar Aliyev would be opened in Ceyhan.

A concert took place in the Azerbaijani-Turkish friendship park in Ceyhan after the opening ceremony.

Adana held a concern on 13 May and Ceyhan on 14 May with participation of Azerbaijani singers devoted to the 85th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev.
