Georgia Downgrades Relations with Russia

Georgia, Tbilisi, 28 August/ Trend , N. Kirtskhaklia/ "The Foreign Ministry of Georgia have decided to downgrade its ties with Russia," Nino Kalandadze, deputy foreign minister of Georgia told a pres conference.

"It means that that of the level of diplomatic mission will be reduced by one level and Givi Shugarov, the Ambassador to Russia will be called back," she said.

The deputy minister said that the there will be only diplomat left in the Embassy to serve Georgian citizens in Russia.

The Georgian Ambassador to Russia Erosi Kitsmarishvili was called back from Moscow when Russia brought down an unmanned aircraft of Georgia in Abkhazia.
