Afghanistan, Kabul, 27 September / Trend corr. A.Hakimi/ Afghan consul, who was kidnapped by unknown people in Pakistan last week, is kept in the Karamajans city, a person close to Beytullah Mahsud, Taliban's head in Pakistan, said to Times news agency.
According to the person, kidnapping of Afghan consul in Pakistan, Abdul Khaliq Farahi, by armed people, a skirmish with his bodyguards took place. Consul's driver died.
So far, the consul has been supposed to be kept in Mumandajansi.
The group, which was established under the leadership of Afghan Foreign Minister's Spokesman Sultan Ahmad Behin, met with adequate local and state structures to negotiate release of the consul.
Taliban rivals, who assisted kidnapping of Farahi, demand to release the detained commander of Talibs Ubeydullah Molavi in exchange for release of the consul.
Last year, Taliban rivals, kidnapped Pakistani Ambassador to Afghanistan Tariq Azizi and demanded to release Ubeydullah Molavi. Although, Pakistani Ambassador was released three months later, Ubeydullah is still arrested.
